Fine Arts Lessons for Kids in Old Colorado City

Rhonda Conn-Parent (owner) is a certified art specialist with a BFA in Art Education.
She has over 20 years of teaching experience. She owns and directs Studio 101 and has designed the unique curriculum/learning environment aimed to “holistically” nurture the artist-self. Rhonda also teaches art at Steele Elementary school where she recently received the KOAA “Teachers First Award”.

 

 

 

 

A Studio 101 artist will:
1. build skills during T.O.O.L. Time (Theme Of Our Learning…teacher-directed, thematically-based learning experience) and J.A.M. Sessions (Just Art Making…freedom-based, self-directed learning experiences at centers designed by Ms. Rhonda, i.e… on their own painting at an easel, throwing pots on the wheel, drawing, artisan craft works, etc.)

2. Produce 2-D and 3-D art work related to technique, art history, explorations, and appreciation.

3. Practice respect and build trust amongst each other to optimize learning and joy.

4. Have loads of fun (!!!)  in a safe and loving environment.
